Holiday Rewind

So, as ya'll should know, I have a big family.  I mean, really, what Filipino doesn't? So, going back to Christmas break, I'd like to share some traditions my family does.  Every year all of the classified "adults" (which means those who are married or are at least 30 with a stable job) put money together and split it among all of the "kids" and us "kids" create wishlists of what we want for Christmas, and we get what we want --as long as it's all under the money limit--. Now, this may make it seem like we're spoiled children, but in all reality, we're NOT. This is just the adult's way of making sure all of the kids are happy, instead of everyone getting gifts that they're going to end up returning.  It saves everybody the trouble! There are so many more gift traditions that we have, but Christmas is over and there's really no point in speaking of it.

What everyone wants to know is what
THIS
is about, yes?

Well, this is the cousin tradition.  Every Christmas Eve we get together, have dinner and a party and go ice skating in Pershing Square.  It's so beautiful!  AND not to forget so much fun!  And of course, everybody has the new iPhone4, because my family is just so high-tech like that [most of the guys are tech-junkies. Most of them at least] and my cousing Reggie had the Pocketbooth App on his iPhone4!  So throughout the night we were using that and taking pictures with this wonderous App, which made the evening even more memorable.  It looks like once I get my iPhone4, I know what App I'll be buying! Hahaha (:

Anyways, there are so many event coming up!  In a couple weeks there's the West Coast Walk for Life, which Jenina and I will be attending, and the weekend afterwards is our Confirmation 2 retreat!  And all of JASH will be there (:  We finally get some bonding time with all of our busy schedules.  PLUS we'll be in the snow! Speaking of schedules, this weekend is the first weekend that I have absolutely no homework!  So this weekend will be a chill weekend of sleeping, songwriting, and watching movies.  Adios dears,
-A
