Pure.

Before Christmas, me and my family did a lot of last minute shopping. And there was a day when my mom went out on her own and bought some things...boxes of candy, tissue paper, and this lovely figurine of a couple dancing. Now, if you know me, I believe dance is art. Watching a couple dance is pure magic. Dancing is intimate and beautiful and watching someone dance is like a window into their soul. At least that's what I believe. I really do miss dancing, but I don't feel like going back to ballet or jazz or hip-hop. What I want to learn is all of the classical dances from the Jane Austen days...the waltzes, salsas, the tango! Passion.

This figurine, my mom was gonna wrap up and gift, but I wouldn't let her. It's such a beautiful figurine, and I swear, I'll treasure it for the rest of my life. I honestly spent half an hour taking a picture of it from different angles, and from every angle I see beauty, and I've become wistful for the art and feeling that connotate dancing. There was one, I took from behind the couple, and it looked like they were clasped together, looking up at the sky in loving wonder. It's magical, I tell you.

Pure passion.

Pure beauty.

Pure magic.
